In 1997, Mac founded Carolina Forest Community Church in Myrtle Beach, SC, and later transitioned to Seacoast Church in Charleston, SC, with multiple campuses across the Carolinas. There he served as the Leadership Development Pastor, where he was instrumental in the church's efforts to grow and sustain healthy leadership.

In 2010, Mac co-founded the LAUNCH Network in Atlanta, GA, which grew to be adopted by the North American Mission Board. Through LAUNCH, Mac implemented leadership systems in 32 strategic cities across North America.

In 2019, Mac founded Multiply Group, a consulting company focused on helping leaders and organizations build and implement strategies to multiply healthy leaders.

A sought-after conference speaker, Mac is also the author of ten books, including The Multiplication Effect, Super Multiplier, and The Discipling Leaders Series, which offer practical tools for intentional leadership development.

He and his wife, Cindy, live in Charleston, SC, and enjoy spending time with their three grown children and six grandchildren.
